It may seem like a contradictory statement when you talk about "saving" your "Christian marriage".
But even the most devout Christian is still just a human at heart, and so very often that means that we make mistakes, including mistakes that can threaten a marriage.
We all have free will, and must make a choice between what is right and what is wrong; when the wrong choice is made, the marriage may be put at risk.

Yet you should not give up, for where there is God there is always the chance for salvation.
If you find that your Christian marriage needs to be saved, here are a few suggestions that may help you repair your relationship.
Evaluate
Just as any married couple would, the Christian couple's first step is an honest assessment of the problems in the marriage.
Have you both grown apart or lack necessary communication skills? Or maybe a more serious issue is at the core?.
While a lack of communication can be cured with only a little work on the part of the husband and wife, more harmful issues such as adultery, deception or abuse will require a great deal more effort.
Always Act Together As One
Outside influences can cause any issue in a marriage to seem much worse, or even to actually become much worse.
Good friends and family members mean well and will offer their advice with the best of intentions, however their counsel could end up causing matters to worsen between a husband and wife; remember Matthew's advice as to what constitutes a marriage - "So they are no longer two but one flesh." (Matthew 19:6).
While it's good to accept advice from others, be careful the advice that you follow and who you are turning to; you don't want to listen to people that are degrading to your spouse as they will not offer you good, Christian counsel.
Scripture can save your marriage
In Ephesians 5:33, the Bible states, "However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband"; this is the best path towards saving your marriage and it is based on sound reasoning.
God knows all of us at our most intimate levels, he knows our deepest desires and our true instincts.
As a rule of thumb, men thrive on respect. As for women? They so much want to feel loved.
This does not mean that men should never show their appreciation or that women should conceal their love.
Marriages that are struggling, however, should look at these areas before any others.

Actively show respect
For a wife, one of the best ways you can demonstrate respect is to accede to the decisions that your husband makes.
Although it may be difficult to do, this means allowing him to lead your family even if you may disagree with his decision.
If the choice he makes turns out for the worse, don't scold him.
Continue to support him through this time, and this will show him how deeply you respect him.
Demonstrating Love
Making a woman feel loved involves much more than simply uttering the phrase "I love you" upon occasion. After all, the Bible advises that a husband should love his wife as Christ loved the Church, and Christ surrendered his own life for the Church!.
You should set aside things that are important to you to make more time for her.
This may mean forgoing a night out with the boys in order to do something kind for her.
In conclusion
Continue educating yourself on how you can save your Christian marriage.
The ideas outlined above should give you a good place to start.
God's church and bible are full of advice that can help you to reinforce your marriage, making both of you happier and giving you peace.
And know, you can take all your problems to God in prayer and seek his help in saving your Christian marriage. You may find that there are some hurtful things you want to express to your spouse, but fight the temptation!.
If you ask, he will give you the wisdom and guidance necessary to make your marriage stronger and more Godly.
