Some people believe that a great way to relieve stress is by having a companion that never contradicts you. Obviously we are not referring to your spouse. Although many believe that a pet could actually cause more stress due to the work that the pet requires. This, however, is not always the case. Although they might not understand what you are saying it is often simply getting things off your chest (by venting) that you feel a lot better.
Still think that the work of keeping a pet outweighs having the benefits? Well if this is what you think then perhaps you should consider pet sitting a neighbors pet. This way you can get the feel of what it is like to have a companion that requires a little maintenance without the strings attached.
